Product Description Who said being a dominant Sugar Daddy was going to be easy?
Self-made millionaire Reed Douglas wanted a woman in his life, but he didn’t have the time for even the barest of social rituals. Tricia Barton flew down to spend some time with her cousins after the death of her mother, hoping a change of scenery would help her slough off the remnants of depression.
She never expected to have her life turned upside down by her cousin’s undeniably hot and very dominant boss who didn’t hesitate to suggest that she let him keep her in a style to which she definitely didn’t want to become accustomed. But one of the few things left out of their very special arrangement was that she ended up finding herself over his lap more often than not!

:0! May 16, 2010 Lady Raven (Brooklyn, New York) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This wasnt a bad book. I just didnt understand getting into a contract with a millionaire to be his mistress, i'm sorry thats only fun if they are being blackmail. the book was ok for me not wow still a good read but could have been better. I think Tricia was all over the place understandable at times because of her lost but didnt understand the concept. And as for the other main character i didnt see much of a dominance in him it was minimal. Basically i expected something different from what i read.
Not even worth $1.00! April 25, 2010 Kimbefo (Racine, WI) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It started out okay and believable. But then it took this strange twist. It was as if the author suddenly got bored. I've read books with spanking in it so that wasn't strange when it was introduced, but the woman in the story didn't even like the spanking. She was sobbing through all of it. Which of course turned the guy on. Really? This coming from a man who would "never hit a woman." She was obviously beaten and didn't seem to mind. And then he says he loves her and can't live without her, but I felt no love on her part. This books wasn't even worh the $1.00 don't buy it.
It was different, that's for sure! April 11, 2010 my husband's book worm (San Antonio, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It takes all kinds to make the world go around. It wasn't terrible, just unbelievable, that someone would allow themselves to be subjected to that kind of pain.
A nice slice of spicy genre March 28, 2010 Morgan of the Lake (NC, USA) First of all, let me start by saying that as a Carolyn Faulkner fan I'm already a little biased towards her work. And while this book isn't the best of her titles (my two favorites are Talus and Prima) it is still makes for a nice escape into D/s fantasy. It seems that some of the readers critical of "Kept" didn't like it because they purchased the book before realizing it contained spanking and other forms of D/s sexuality. So consider my review a warning: It does. However, the saucier scenes are well-written and very steamy. Those who enjoy the energy between strong dominant and submissive characters will appreciate both the dialogue and the action.
I do agree that Trish seemed to "fizzle" a little in comparison to characters in some of Faulkner's other works. But I don't agree that Trish was abused or a victim. She knew exactly what she was getting into when she entered the agreement with Reed. I think the risk she took is part of what makes the story work.
I liked the book very much - not enough to give it a completely perfect rating compared to other Carolyn Faulkner books - but enough to give it four, and to recommend it to others.
it was alright March 25, 2010 Carla Thornton (moreno valley,ca) it was am ok read.it never really made me believe the scenario or characters were believable. and then it ended abruptly. i hate that
