5 out of 5 stars Amazing Julia Child!   May 27, 2010

This book went far beyond my expectations! The detail and attention these women gave to every aspect of creating a meal is incredible. This is not just a recipe book, but an education on everything in your kitchen, from measurements and ingredients to the best equipment for the job. An absolute joy just to read before you even begin to create.

"Mastering the art of French Cooking" was gift. Both of us were very pleased with the cookbook.
I'm sure that I will be borrowing it soon.

I bought a copy of this book for me and my Mom for Mother's Day and we are both ecstatic. It was exactly as it was described and even more so. One of the nicest cookbooks in my collection.

I have tons of cooking book, and they are just that... cooking books with all kind of receipes in them...
BUT i wouldnt label this as a cooking book, "Mastering the art of french cooking" is so much more, it really provides you knowledge of the necessary techniques, and while you read it, you feel like you are learning so so much!
I have try some receipes and i am telling you, they are so clear that even a kid could do them, and they are just so tasty!
i strongly recommend this book to all those out there who like me... love cooking!

1 out of 5 stars DO NOT PURCHACE FROM THIS VENDOR   May 16, 2010

I emailed the vendor and informed them that I had recently moved and forgot to update my address when the order was shipped. I NEVER received a response, or for that matter my order. I am disgusted by the lack of customer service.
